Who we are
This site is run by Exis ("Exis", "we", "us"), based in Colorado, United States. For anything about this notice or your information, email [email protected].
What we collect
What you send us. When you use the contact form we collect your name, email address, organization if you give it, your message, and whether you chose "Work together" or "Just chat". If you email us, we receive what you send.
How the site is used. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It records information such as the page visited, the referring site, browser and device type, and country. It does not use cookies or similar storage, and it does not track you across other sites.
Technical data. Our hosting provider processes standard request data, such as IP address and browser details, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
How we use it
- To reply to your request and keep a record of our conversation.
- To understand which parts of the site are useful and improve it.
- To keep the site secure and working.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
Who processes it for us
We use service providers who process information on our behalf and only for the purposes above:
- HubSpot, which receives contact form submissions and stores them in our customer records.
- Google, for email (Google Workspace).
- Cloudflare, which hosts the site, protects it from abuse, and provides site analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics).
Links to LinkedIn take you to LinkedIn, which has its own privacy policy. We may also share information if the law requires it.
Cookies and your choices
This site does not set analytics or advertising cookies. The site keeps two small settings in your browser so it remembers your choices: whether you have seen the scrolling hint, and whether you paused motion. They are not sent to us. If we ever add tools that use cookies for analytics, we will ask for your consent first where the law requires it, and we will honor Global Privacy Control signals as a request to opt out. You can also block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings.
How long we keep it
We keep contact requests and related correspondence for as long as we are in conversation or working together, and then for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. After that we delete them. Analytics data is aggregated and kept by Cloudflare under its own retention settings.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the Colorado Privacy Act and laws such as the GDPR in the EU and UK, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, get a copy of it, and opt out of certain processing. To make a request, email [email protected]. We will respond within the time the law allows, usually within 30 to 45 days, and may need to confirm your identity first. If we decline a request, you can ask us to reconsider by replying to our response.
International visitors
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
Children
This site is for businesses and professionals. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections and access controls on the tools we use. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page.
